Yeah, there is a power difference though Renault engines seem more drivable, helping to get out of the corner quickly. So with a good set of brakes you have got a killer cornering machine.
Rest is mostly down to aero. Lotus for example is less draggy than RBR so they did not have issue keeping DRSers at bay.
Gearing is allowed to be tuned even though gearbox unit change could mean a penalty.
