It is so interesting to watch the comments here. Despite their fanaticism, most people here have no idea what motorsport is like, and evidently no historical background whatsoever. Most seem to think motorsport or all sport should be as safe as an amusement park - maybe even safer. I guess reality for a lot of you has been confined to video games - no hands-on adventure and discovery of the way things work. There is no tolerance for risk of any sort. Ultimately, you risk not really living life at all. You live virtually and vicariously, with no connection to nature, not even your own nature. If we were really so concerned about life, it is so out of whack to spend so much time worrying about a few people who willingly put life and limb on line for sporting purposes, while we can so easily stomach genocide, fratricide, etc elsewhere. We are far past the point of diminishing returns in motorsport safety, and into the destruction of motorsport. We've lost the very point of it..... cont'd
