I think most feel Lewis is gone, as he and McLaren are too far apart, and the Mercedes offer is very lucrative. Personally, I think he should go. A fresh start for everyone, including F1 would be good. As for contact with Perez, well, perhaps this has occurred. I suspect feelers concerning availability have been sent out to several top prospects, Kimi included, just to assess availability, and this is the one we have heard about. Who knows, Perez might have leaked this to put pressure on Ferrari:) We just don't know, but we will soon. P.S. Comparing a Hamilton move to Mercedes to Villeneuve's move to BAR is not fair, as Mercedes is a works team that will be completely buiding a new car around their own engine for 2014. Only Red Bull with Renault, and Ferrari, have that same advantage.
