rob. the alternator is different to that on your ford. it is an integral part of the engine and is supplied and then fitted with internal circuitry. THAT is the part supplied by mm, and unfortunately it is currently unable to cope with the heat . yes, rbr could well use a different supplier of internals, to that supplied by renault. but as i said in earlier post, it is NOT a problem that is peculiar to rbr, as you seem to be keem to imply!
