Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. Jacques' and Lewis' careers are practically identical (both started their time in F1 with championship winning teams, both won the title the following season and never really accomplished much else since). The only difference between Jacques and Lewis was that Jacques could only succeed in a car that "couldn't", whereas Lewis has that little bit "more" to give even when the car was far from its best. Unlike Jacques, I think that Lewis can achieve something else through the Mercedes team if they can produce a soild car which is capable of a least challenging for the podium for the first race of next season. All the same, even if the car isn't perfect, we can count on Lewis to find a way (at least we can dare to dream).
