mani -- how do you know the Lotus is inferior? No-one knows but, given that rookie Grosjean frequently qualifies it up front, it seems pretty damn fast.
Since you like facts:
When Massa and Kimi were team-mates, Massa scored more points, more race wins and more poles than Kimi. Why couldn't "the world's fastest man" keep up with Massa? Why can't he out-qualify rookie Grosjean?
Alonso destroys Massa, which suggests he's much better than Kimi.
As for the "no points for quali" comments, the point is that rubbish quali holds you back in the race. Even if Kimi beats Grosjean on Sundays, drivers who excel in quali AND racing (like Alonso) would maximise the car's potential more.
