Ferrari are just a very conservative team when it comes to drivers. They prefer to go with proven race winners or better still world champions. They can also kind of afford to as they'll happily pay the biggest salary to the drivers so no need to risk anything trying to strike gold with a younger inexperienced driver. Massa is a bit of an exception to that but then he was introduced there at a time when testing was still going on in full force so he probably made 1000s of kms in testing for them first, plus a few years at Sauber.
Bottom line: if Luca di M. was serious about Perez having to little experience, than what makes people think Di Resta and Hulkenberg stand a chance? If it's true that Hulk goes to Sauber next year though, than that may be a sign Ferrari have put him on the Massa route to potentially replace Massa for 2014. In that case I hope they retain Koba at Sauber so he can prove he is the better choice, but they'll probably go for Guttierez to keep Carlos happy. Sadly.
