Drivers in the past swapped teams frequently - chasing the fastest cars/teams and filling seats of dead drivers. Looking back seems to indicate that great drivers proved themselves by winning for several teams. This fails to recognize that the fastest drivers were given first shot at seats in the fastest cars, thus given the greatest opportunities to win. Vettel, Alonso and Hamilton are modern greats beyond any doubt, how that relates to history is irrelevant, regardless of the rants of an old great Scot.
