Almost every F1 driver in the modern era that won the WDC is because they had the best car/team combo.
I forgot who said it but put a great driver in a great car and he wins. Put a great driver in an average car and his results will be average with a few good results.
Vettel would be neck in neck with Alonso if not slightly ahead with better qualifyng and all things being equal at Ferrari.
In terms of complete teams RBR 1st, Ferrari 2nd, Mclaren 3rd (reliability and pit stop issues).
