@Mark Your claim that Lewis and his dad ran to the stewards to report Alonso's misdemeanour is a bit of a stretch. Firstly, drivers and parents cannot approach the stewards, ONLY team bosses can. Secondly, the stewards can see the pit lane quite clearly and they saw Alonso deliberately screw Lewis qualifying. Thirdly, from Ron Dennis own mouth, Alonso started blackmailling McLaren with his own emails to Pedro De La Rosa about Ferarri details. Fernando kept threathening to go to the FIA with his own emails. Now Ron has an armour plated backbone and wasn't going to be blackmailled, so he picked up the phone to Mad Max and informed the FIA that Alonso and Pedro had emails that contained Ferarri design details. That is the incontrovertible fact.
