lulumerc. please read what i said! macca had already been given a warning for their first infraction, and then they again deliberately sent him out with not enough fuel. i have admitted that i used the word cheating in relation to macca, but not to lulu.
and as for nick, again read my post. i said if rbr deliberately sent out seb with not enough fuel, then it would be cheating. however, there was an identifiable engine problem, and if this caused excess fuel to be used, then it would not be deliberate cheating. the stewards saw from telemetry that there was a genuine engine problem, but they had to stick to the letter of the law, and as there was insufficient fuel left, they applied the requisite penalty.
all cars run with the absolute minimum of fuel, and the slightest engine malfunction can tip the scales
