Sportsmanship prize goes to FM, even if maybe it was a contractual obligation. for a precedent, check out the 1956 Italian GP where Peter Collins VOLUNTARILY gave his car over to Juan Manuel Fangio, who's car had failed, WITHOUT BEING ASKED, to enable Fangio to win the championship. Ironically, his team loyalty deprived a fellow Brit (Stirling Moss) from winning the championship.
