@JohnO: I'd put him in the top 2 of the current grid, together with Alonso. Who's the better driver of the two? Hard to say. I think Hamilton , on equal car, is faster than Alonso, but Alonso seems to be a more mature driver, which over the course of a season can really pay off. Hamilton's level of performance this season, with tyres that play straight against his driving style, is quite telling of his raw speed and ability as a driver, which I think is second to none. If not for his team's cock-ups and lack of reliability of the car in some races, he'd have the title in the bag. Yes, I know, "if, if..." Where would Hamilton be on the Ferrari? I think he'd be faster than Fernando, honestly.
