They let Senna get away with it 'cause Prost had done pretty much the same thing the year before after the FRENCH Jean-Marie Balestre decided to change the pole position (which Senna obviously had) to the other side of the track then giving the FRENCH Prost (2nd) the best line into the first turn.
Nothing against the French but that was probably the most cheated tittle to be ever won by a driver. And it was not like Prost ever needed any help. The guy could drive!
