Rather than believing that SV managed to drive around a problem with the car as a result of damage I am starting to become convinced that a lot of the "bodywork" on an F1 car is pointless. How many times this season have we seen a front wing damaged only for the driver to drive as quickly as they were before. Quite obviously that part of the front wing was largely irrelevant to the performance of the car. Likewise, the damaged part of SV's car at Brazil cannot have compromised his performance at all. If it had, there is now way he could have posted the times that he did.
