Massa has been treated more than fairly by Ferrari and they owe him nothing. He is a great guy and I'm glad his form has greatly improved, but he is not the fighter and team leader that a Schumi, Alonso, Hamilton, etc. are.
How did Ferrari treat him unfairly??? They took him from Sauber where he crashed a lot and gave him a ride in a top team when no other top teams were calling him. Nor have any other top teams been calling for his services since. Ferrari is by far his best option, if he leaves there it will not be to a top team.
On top of that they have made him one of the highest paid drivers in F1. At one point he was earning more than WDC's like Hamilton and Button. Last year he was the third highest paid behind Alonso and Lewis all while not performing so well for a good part of the season.
Like Barrichello, without Ferrari his career in F1 would have been much shorter, earning much less money and with few, if any, wins. Ferrari have always been strong supporters of Felipe and
