One final point. Did Ferrari really deserve to win?
Considering that the whole of the rear end of the car that finished the season was a direct copy of the Sauber it could be said that Ferrari really deserve to be excluded from the championship for not designing their own completely as required by the rules that banned customer cars.
For those who didn't know when at the start of the season the Ferrari was little more than a dog & being constantly beaten by Sauber, a customer Ferrari team, A deal was agreed between Ferrari & Sauber for Ferrari to duplicate large parts of the rear end of the Sauber "for development appraisal" in exchange for free engines. This was well known caused journalists to give the updated Ferrari that did start running well the nickname of the Ferrauber.
