Mike, with the Japanese economy flat most companies there are in survival mode one reason there is no Japanese engine manufacturer in F1 at the moment. F1 is an expensive sport and teams big and small have to look for sponsorship because sponsors come and go or cut their funding. I like Kobayashi to stay in F1 but he does not have the sponsorship money to retain his seat at Sauber and sadly asking his fans for donations is the only way he can get a drive unless some company is willing to fork over some moolah as a sponsor.
