The rules surrounding caution situations do sound insanely complicated. You've got lights in the cockpit, lights by the track, and marshals waving flags - and sometimes these three things are giving contradictory information. The driver has to sort all this out and make the correct decision in a split second, all while racing other cars at high speeds and in poor visibility. Perhaps something could be done to make all this easier for everyone, drivers and fans alike, to understand.
