I don't understand the problem, rules are rules and if anyone suspects them of being broken they should speak up. It happens at every level of motorsport from club bikes to F1 and should be investigated.
Like Ferrari said they brought the matter up because fans were bringing it to light and accept that no rules were broken. If it was the other way round everyone would be baying for Alonso's blood. The FIA have cleared up any doubt and now everyone knows that the flags over rule any lights which are only a guide. Now that'll also clear up any confusion at my local kart track, lol!
