"Why Vettel wasn't leading until Japan this year. He had not the best car until this GP."
That's the conventional wisdom as established by the British press. I don't buy it though. The Asian GP's have been a Red Bull (or at least a Vettel) stronghold for the last few years. They/he always do well there. Is it because the tracks suit the car, or the tracks suit Vettel, or some of both?
It was the Asian GP's which made Vettel champion in 2010. He wasn't leading that year until Abu Dhabi.
