johno . i agree with yo about the current cars. they are now more or less equal, so it is unfair to say one car or the other is the fastest car. the differences at the top are in HUNDREDTHS, and with such minute differences, it is up to the skills of the driver and team, to get the win. thus, it does really seem as if it is the driver who can keep up a constant fast lap, who will eventually come out on top.
ty, now that it is off season, we can have some good history lessons. re fangio, if i remember correctly, fangio won a wdc whilst driving cars from different manufacturers, IN THE SAME YEAR. journeymen were not unusual.
