@richard - totally agree with that, but then again, the top guys in F1 have usually arrived with reputations after blitzing their opponents in the lower formulas. But some just don't seem to make the transition to F1 at all well, and sort of stay in a GP2 mindset (ie Grosjean, Kobayashi? Great drivers but far too rash!!).
Vettel has always had stunning speed and maturity (and incredible luck, it has to be said, but that usually balances out over a career), and those two recovery drives put to bed any idea that he can't overtake. Although Vettel kind of annoys me (as I was hoping, in 2010 and this year for an Alonso WDC), I totally get how good he is and I'm sure he'll go on to win more titles, although hopefully not for a year or two.
