johno. first of all, adrian HAS driven an f1 car. not raced one, but driven one! secondly, nobody said that newey designs the tyres, but they are a standard tyre supplied to all teams. adrian has to design the car to use the tyres to the best advantage. similar with the engine. of course the team is very important, but if you have a good team and a bad designer, you are not going to win the wdc. look at caterham with the same engine, or all the other teams with the same tyres i believe, as to many many others, that newey is the main component of the rbr success by the way, as far as i am aware, head was only involved as a designer with the early non competitive williams. and thanks for educating me on how an f1 team works. i never knew all those facts.
