I'm doing it again, defending someone I don't like.... I think it's only right for a sportsman or a team to 'seek clarification' on an issue of rules, even after the event. However, IMO the later the clarification is sought, and the more persistent and repeated the appeals, the less tasteful it is. Apart from drug-taking, no statute of limitations there. I still think FA is the most tortured soul in Motorsport though - he now has LH embedded in one side of his brain and SV in the other
