I really wish you guys here (especially you richard) are well versed in other type of motorsports other than F1.
Let me quote the rules from DTM website.
-Identical assembly components must be used in all performance relevant areas of the car (that includes chassis and suspensions for the non illiterate)
-Only V8 engines with a cylinder bank angle of 90 degrees, four litres and a maximum of four valves per cylinder are permitted. The inlet must be fitted with two air restrictors the diameter of 28 mm.
-one gearbox-differential unit built by Hewland is permitted.
-carbon fibre brakes, brake pads and brake callipers for all teams are supplied by the same manufacturer AP.
-Only the fuel specified for the respective event ARAL
-All DTM vehicles operate with identical engine control units supplied by Bosch.
