@richard ..and don't forget Kenneth Tynan who started the whole thing on TV! I believe we are of similar age and I totally agree with what you say, putting paid to the idea that oldies are hurt by swearing. I think the most hilarious thing though is that while 'grown-up' newspapers usually print exactly what is said, the red-tops use asterisks instead for words like 'fork' or 'slit' or 'clot' - I assume that's what they mean to say. Even funnier is that an internet site called crash.net sees fit to be nanny and insists on doing the same in articles and posts. Regarding James Hunt. He was a well known user of weed. Murray would say that James had just popped out to 'walk round the circuit' when he slipped out for a crafty joint...
