I'm guessing it's a case of them keeping the base much the same and worrying more about the other bits that get slapped on (wings, winglets, clever holes/slots, etc.). Which might not be such a bad thing considering the performance they had at times this year. I suspect they feel there's plenty yet to unlock from the package.
