The whole essence of Formula 1, as the pinnacle of motor sport, is that every legitimate opportunity should be explored to maximise a team's performance. The Rule Book is just a collection of instructions within which all parties must operate. The beauty lies in the interpretation of those instructions - and the ability to justify your interpretation. Every team, whether Red Bull, Ferrari, or the likes of Caterham and Marussia should work that way as far as they are able to.
