Wow Crash threw out the bait and all the fish are biting. When looking at the season as a whole it is hard to rank the top cars. McLarens were very quick at times as was Vettel in the Red Bull. Massa out-qualified and out-performed Alonso more than once towards the end of the season and showed very good race pace.
Without an unbiased engineering assessment it isn't possible to definitively say which cars were faster overall - especially given the variety of tracks raced.
This is an argument that could go on forever without anyone changing their minds.
