dario. the time frame for lodging a protest to affect the race results is within a couple of hours of the race finishing. not sure of exact time, but must be within that few hours.
the ferrari request for clarification was made after a couple of DAYS, and was resultant on a number of messages on the internet, by those who failed to notice the green flags, and who wanted to see seb lose the wdc.
however, i do not know what powers the fia had to take any retrospective action. even ferari stated that they only wrote to fia to clear up the confusion of those who were complaining.
any message to seb, was during the race and had nothing to do with this "non issue".
