Good points Jim, The silly thing is that the change to V6T's is supposed to be for cost cutting reasons, but it is well known that sticking with the proven V8's would be far more economical than investing the money involved in designing and manufacturing all new V6T's. It's just stoopid.
The BMW 1.5 4 pot turbos were knocking out up to 1500bhp in 1984 in qualifying trim running monster boost (over 50psi I'm led to believe) It's just wrong that almost 30 years later the cars are HALF as powerful.
As for sound, the Ferrari flat 12 was the best I've ever laid ears on in my lifetime, before that the BRM V16 comes second only to the Spitfire! :P
