IMO Ferrari (or ANY) manufacturer should NEVER be allowed any control, input or influence over a Racing Series. There's a conflict of interest that cannot be ignored.
IMO motorcycling's supposed 'F1 equivalent' MotoGP series has been wrecked by factory teams involvement and influence over direction, policy, rules etc. IMO it is the fact that F1 has mainly independent teams and sponsors (who's NEED for the series to be fair and competitive lines up with the needs of racing) is its strength.
To Factory Mfr's strong competition is exactly what they DON'T want, so their wants & needs are opposite to the needs of a Racing Series. If a Factory gets a hand on the F1 tiller then its only a matter of time before F1 is ruined IMO. And Bernie won't be around forever.
