shaken. a rather cruel comment. niki was extremely badly injured at the ring. he made a miraculous return, against all oddsand still could have won the wdc. the race in japan was very wet, and as a person who had been near death, niki decided that to race was just too risky. it takes a very brave man to risk throwing away a wdc! in canada, after a come back, he decided he had had enough. made a sensible decision and called it a day. that is hardly "quitting". he had other interests such as founding his airline which was subsequently merged with austrian, but then started up a new airline, NIKI. possibly helped by air berlin who put him on their board. i have far more regard for niki than i would have for 90% of the current grid
