The logic of the new engine spec is beyond me - Costs have to be cut as f1 will die without a reduction. These new engines and power recovery systems will without doubt be the most expensive F1 engines ever produced. The development costs of the additional systems will be astronomical.I really do not think that this has been thought through - where is the encouragement for new manufacturers and teams.I hope I am wrong but I believe that F1 will be severely damaged by this new spec - if Mercedes is not successful and pull out that will leave just 2 engines, what then?
