@miffy - why would McLaren want to sign Kimi? Sure he had a good year in 2012, but he may just as easily go off the boil again as he did at Ferrari in 2008 (I'll say it again, if Kimi's so great, a true ace, why did he not beat Massa in 2008, when he had the number 1 on his car?).
Even in 2009, at the point when Massa was injured, after 9 races, both having two retirements, Massa had 22 points to Kimi's 10 so who's to say that Massa wouldn't have beaten Kimi again if he'd raced the whole year.
At least with Perez and Button having a similar style McLaren have the chance to fashion a unified direction for the car.
