Usually, softer compounds create large amounts of 'marbles' which effectively lead to one line racetracks. Just how will that enable more passing? If Pirelli can create more compound degradation without the rubber marbles that will be a neat trick and will show their technical abilities. All the talk about creating variable strategies for the teams is hogwash. The teams all adopt the same strategies unless they screw up in qualifying or are no-hopers at the back hoping for miracles!
