rob is right. there is a skill to designing a track, which must incorporate certain fia parameters. the tilke company has the experience. yes there is criticism of some of the tracks that have been designed, but the criticism is not of the construction etc. in fact, all have coped well. the criticism that is deserved is to the provider of the site. after all, who could have done a better job of the industrial area that is valencia? tilke wasnt responsible for the flat featureless site. at least he provided a circuit to the fia requirements. he did a great job with austin, so provided that he is given an interesting site, there is no reason to suspect that a new track would be below par. give him a hilly, forested area, and we might have a great track.
