This what I termed “the 3rd bombshell of 2013” seems to me to have the longest finger of MR F1 into it, looks like he had scrambled into action by the prospects of F1 losing one of the only two manufacturers still active in F1, I struggle to see the need of a company the size of Mercedes off loading 40 percent of its F1 operations, on the other hand MR F1 knows for a fact that Mercedes F1 operations depends on a board of directors with a lot of different opinions about the validity of F1 and that it’s chairman is due to seek another term this year, MR F1 seems to have went to work on at least safeguarding the number of big teams on the grid, if not in name in numbers.
