Trulli was never a top driver and never had the stamina to last a race at 10/10. So a bit of sour grapes is to be expected.
As a rule, F1 has always been an exclusive club for weathy/well connected drivers. Therefore the bull***t about the lesser skills of today's pay drivers does not hold any water. The last 2 seasons were the most excitng in a long long time with tough racing happening all the way down the grid. Much more entertaining than watching the rest fighting for second place behind a Maclaren/Ferrari/Williams, depending on who had the best engine. We were also privileged to watch 6 world champions mixing it up with pay drivers and the latter did not disgrace themselves even if it at times they were somewhat excitable.
Long may it last.
