rob. but at that stage, red bull was only a sponsor! they had no f1 team, and there were many drivers that red bull were sponsoring.
the difference for lulu is that he was being nurtured by an f1 team and by a car manufacturer. to me, that is a hell of a difference
sponsorship exists and always has, but that does not normally ensure a place in f1. algy and buemi were both sponsored by red bull, were given a chance and did not succeed. seb did succeed as he had a talent. he did not get the rbr or even str seat by being just a sponsored driver.
