All seems too artificial for my liking. If you wanted to encourage strategic racing, then bring back refuelling, decent tyres that can take a hammering lap on lap, and let the strategy evolve from there...
I'm all for strategy and overtaking but considering it is a new tyre structure for this year, are you not running the risk of the first half of the season being a lottery like last year until teams begin to understand the tyre... What next? Success ballast.. Then Formula One could simply become a fancy more expensive touring car championship
