Button's deluding himself if he really thinks this will make no difference. People work in different ways and until we begin to see what Tim Goss can do we can't really know. The facts are that under Paddy Lowe McClaren have had little real success over the past few years due to poor strategy, pit stops, unrealiabilty and average cars and are in danger of slipping away from the top echelon. Martin Whitmarsh will tell you differently but the facts speak for themselves, they lost Hamilton and now they have lost Paddy Lowe. Perhaps it is time they had a rethink about the way they work because it has not produced the results that McClaren would want. It is clear that Mercedes intend to get to the top but it is not clear that McClaren can stay there.
