i think we are about to see a steady decline of Mclaren performance going forward, Button is a comfort boy he has no clue how to setup a car, early last year he spent over half of the races copying Lewis's car setup and admitted to that - yet when Lewis leaves the team he says it will not be a problem...?
Perez is already complaining about the inability to setup the new car, Button as already admitted the inability to manage the tires despite his smooth driving style.
Paddy leaving will be final blow from a tech point of view, it is customary to have strong focus into aero adjustment at the beginning of the season...who will do that? whilst Paddy is gardening...
I have always been a strong Mclaren fan, but the team's arrogance and inclination to favour an average driver like Button has cost them one of the greatest driver of our times...and frankly if i was Paddy, why should i waste my time designing machinery that none can maximise?
