rob. the pull rod system was explaine recently , n tv. first of all, it improves airflow below the car. secondly, pull rod requires smaller dampers and spring medium, thus there is reduced weight in the nose. this more than compensates for the slightly higher c of g of the components. macca are probably gaining extra street knowledge of the system, for when the new regs come in. ferrari started last year with it, and many mocked them for trying it. towards the end of the season, these mockers were silenced, when alonso nearly won the wdc, against what was said to be the fastest car, the macca. its nort all about speed, but how the car actually grips on the track.
