The sponsorship deal between Vodafone and McLaren started in 2007, the same year a certain Hamilton launched his rooky year in F1 with McLaren. After 6 years with the team, Hamilton calls it quit and leaves McLaren. Surprise surprise, even before the new season has begun, McLaren's main title sponsor, Vodafone, decides to call it quit as well and leaves the team. I am not saying Hamilton's departure is the driver of this decision, but I am working hard to convince myself of the contrary. May be it's just pure coincidence! But that will be a bizzare coincidence and we will probably never know the true reason.
