Commodore, you should have told the Albert Park administration to install drainage system up to F1 racing standards instead of advising them that they were wasting their time. What’s the use of having wet tyres if they can’t race in that sort of rain. Drivers that went off with some of them being luckier than others were using the same piece of tarmac as those that managed to stay on the road, giving them another chance would not have been fair with the once that managed to stay on the road. It’s about time that the FIA made sure that all tracks are up to F1 standards including water drainage capabilities. We have seen qualifying and racing in much worse rain conditions than today. This thing is going to leave no or very little time for teams to finish qualifying and prepare the cars for the race.
