I often hear and read that conditions are the same for everybody but it's an insult to truth to think that the same conditions will imply exactly the same implications and consequences depending on the characteristics of each competitors.
For instance in football or rugby, a bad soggy pitch will be a relative advantage for a physical team compared to one relying on their technique and finesse.
Same goes for cars, drivers, tyres, etc. in certain conditions. There are so many inter related parameters coming in play.
