benignly. first failure of a tp component???? were you not watching last year? rb had three failures of alternator supplied by a tp!
as regards the ecu issue, sunny, mes supply the software for the pit computer to receive the info from the car, so yes, they were responsible, and as i pointed out earlier, mes have said (through whitmarsh) that they are working with rbr to resolve the issue. now that sounds to me, like mes accepting blame, and they even went on to highlight the issues in testing, when THREE teams had the same problems.
as regards kers, it appears that as the ecu receives the enable code, the software prevented the ecu from switching on the system to harvest the power on the formation lap
