sunny. the kers activation is part of the function of the ecu. that is why you see its activation on the tv screen. the fact that the software was not been transmitted/received, shows that control of the kers by the driver, was intefered with by the software. kycz . i am sure that rbr could design and build an ecu if they wanted to, but the trouble with that idea is that it is an ecu designated by fia and produced by ONE contracted company, and which has to be used by ALL teams. that is to avoid teams producing software to input banned electronic controls such as traction control etc the contracted company is a mclaren company, and whereas it might be fun to talk about sabotage, i would be 100% sure that the company is honest enough to provide exactly the same spec to all teams. these ecus are checked by stewards at each race.
